Creating your own balance

Every now and then we have new students ask, “which of your memberships do you recommend?” or even “how many strengthen classes should I take a week?”

To echo what I was trained to say in consulting, “it depends!”

But truly - every human walks into Forth for a different reason. And even in that, we each have different seasons of movement that resonate with us. Maybe one week you’re needing the intensity of Strengthen, maybe another week you just need to schedule time to chill in Restore or Breathe, or maybe you’re looking to develop more core strength and breath awareness in our new Mat Pilates Strengthen + Breathe class. As a studio owner, it’s beautiful seeing you all commit to regular routines but also branch out and try new things!

How do you define your own balance, in this season of your life?

What's Inspiring Our Team

  • Liza shared that she "Just finished the book "Good for a Girl: A Woman Running in a Man's World" by Lauren Fleshman about how collegiate and professional sports fail young female athletes - her story is really inspiring!"

  • Marina reflected that "Recently, during a call with my running coach, Stefanie Flippin, she told me, “There’s always something you can do to influence the moment you’re in.” While this was in reference to what may happen during the race I’m training for at the end of March, it also resonates with my personal reality. It’s often easier for me to apply these lofty concepts to my running journey, with a delay in its effects on my life in general."

  • Our newest studio experience manager Flan said "I’ve been really inspired by gothic art and architecture! Trying to observe and utilize new shapes in my life and art" > if you haven't checked out her stained glass store up on Belmont, check it out!

  • Tyler, only a few months late to the game, was very inspired by Kevin's Chappell Roan & Charli XCX class and has recently discovered the magic that is Chappell Roan! Haven't checked her music out yet? It's never too late!
