Our Class Modalities

We offer four core modalities and additional blended modalities, emphasizing the balance between physical and energetic movement.

Our classes are appropriate for all levels! We are a studio for beginners, long-time practitioners, and everyone in between. Our skilled teachers have extensive anatomy backgrounds and will adapt class and modify moves to work for you. All of our classes are available at our studio in Logan Square / Avondale.

OPEN (yoga asana)

A vinyasa and hatha yoga-inspired class, honoring the yoga lineage but also may include aspects of mobility, flexibility/stretching, and calisthenics for a full-bodied flow.

Physical Intensity (1-5, with 5 being the most vigorous): 3 or 4

Time for Savasana: 2-4 minutes

BREATHE (breathwork)

Looking to clear out the cobwebs and get back in tune with your body? This class is for you. Guided breathwork with some time for quiet meditation, and supplemented by somatic exercises. Will also include a bit of stretching at the beginning and end to get the wiggles out. Wear comfortable clothes you can sit, stretch, or lay down in.

Physical Intensity (1-5, with 5 being the most vigorous): 2 or 3

Time for Savasana: 5-10 minutes

Strengthen + Breathe (Mat pilates)

Incorporating principles from traditional and contemporary mat pilates, this modality explores the intersection of strength training, mobility, core stability, and breath.

Time for Savasana: 1-3 minutes

Strengthen + open (Power flow)

A more vigorous version of our Open (Yoga Asana) class - expect some strength training drills interwoven into your vinyasa flow.

Time for Savasana: 2-4 minutes

STRENGTHEN (strength training)

High-intensity, low-impact circuit-based strength training using props such as dumbbells and resistance bands. This is the modality where you will be encouraged to pick up heavy weights! We encourage you to find quick transitions to keep the heart rate elevated to get additional cardiovascular benefits. Our anatomy-driven teachers will offer modifications and amplifications so that everyone can feel supported in our space. Move at your own pace, this class is not to the beat.

Time for Meditation: 1-3 minutes

Restore + Breathe (STRETCHING, MEDITATION, SOUND BATH, BREATHWORK)

Our restore class, with added breathwork incorporated throughout your practice! Get the best of both modalities for the ultimate soothing experience.

Sound: Music + Soundbath

Time for Savasana: 5-15 minutes

RESTORE (Stretching, Meditation, + Sound bath)

This class is a quiet time to truly be with yourself and will include full-bodied mobility and flexibility to slow the nervous system down and allow for a nice, juicy, meditation. Our teachers will be using sound bowls as well as a tool to guide you on your restorative journey - enjoy!
