In pursuit of alignment
Hi new and old friends! I typically use this space to share a bit about what I'm thinking about these days, in the hopes that some of it resonates with you.
The reality is that there is a lot going on in the world right now, some of it we can control but a lot of it we cannot. Our work here at Forth does not happen in isolation. Forth is a living, breathing, expression of how our community is feeling in this current space and time. As I work towards updating our current programming and creating new programs, I've been thinking a lot about the following:
What is my job as a teacher right now?
What is my job as a studio owner right now?
What is my job as a human right now?
With so much going on that we cannot control, our job here at Forth is to provide you opportunities to widen your window of tolerance for change. It's about giving you the tools in the toolbox to know how to support yourself - whether that means letting energy out, creating rituals to chill out, and everything in between - all so that you can move Forth better.
This journey we are on requires us to practice what commitment looks and feels like, so we can expand that to other areas of our life. It's about feeling what it's like to feel strong as well as to be outside of our comfort zones, so that we can meet both feelings with a bit more familiarity. We are here to support you on all parts of the spectrum, and offer our four modalities to meet you where you are.
