Discovering our imbalances

Humans are asymmetric beings. We’ve got strengths, we’ve got weaknesses. Our bodies are a vessel for this feedback as we get to know ourselves. In Strengthen classes recently, I’ve been dialing in and exploring the fact that one of my legs feels more stable in lunges than the other. Not better, not worse, but different. Instead of meeting my imbalances with frustration, I’m working to meet myself with curiosity. The work isn't the physical exercise, it's the mental exercise of how I reframe my self talk. It’s amazing what the body can do when we put our mind to something, and it’s even more amazing what our body says to us when we dial into somatic, intentional, movements.
